About Spider Vein Removal

Spider veins and broken capillaries often contribute to diffused redness, creating visible vascular concerns on the skin. Using our state-of-the-art Clarity laser technology, we can effectively target and treat both conditions. The laser energy precisely heats and diminishes unwanted veins, vessels, and vascular structures, making them significantly less noticeable over time.

This advanced treatment not only reduces the appearance of spider veins and redness, but also promotes a clearer, more even-toned complexion. Experience the benefits of laser vein removal and enjoy a rejuvenated, radiant look with minimal downtime.

How it works

Using our laser, we deliver pulses of energy into the unwanted blood vessels. This heat absorption ‘damages’ the vessels while preserving the surrounding tissue. The body later reabsorbs these treated vessels and they begin to disappear. For overall diffused redness, we slowly and comfortably heat up the skin allowing the heat to coagulate the redness we see on the surface. Over a series of treatments, this will result in a reduction of overall redness.

FAQ

How many treatments are needed?

3-5 sessions of vein removal and redness reduction is recommended. This may vary slightly from person to person. It’s important to remember rosacea is not a curable condition so maintenance treatments are required after your initial series. Sun exposure, excess oil, and harsh exfoliants can all contribute to redness so it’s important to support your treatments with our medical grade skin care for best results.

Are the treatments comfortable?

Spider vein removal may cause some discomfort. When the energy is delivered, you might feel a bit of a spike of heat or a pinch in the treated area. This discomfort won’t last long. Overall redness reduction has minimal discomfort. The skin slowly heats up and feels warm, those with moderate to severe redness may experience more discomfort as there is more redness that is being targeted.

How much is each treatment?

Pricing varies depending on your skin concerns and how many treatments you will require. Please book a consultation to go over details.

Is there any downtime or any restrictions post treatment?

After spider vein removal, vessels may appear darker and the treated area may be red. Bruising may occur, however this discoloration is only temporary. It is important to avoid heat, strenuous exercise, stimulants such as caffeine and alcohol for 5-7 days. Basically anything that will push the blood through the treated vessel should be avoided. The sun, including sunless tanning beds must be avoided for a minimum 72 hours post treatment. The use of sunscreen is recommended on any treated areas that are exposed to the sun.

Am I a good candidate for treatment?

Spider vein removal is safe on light to medium skin tones (Fitzpatrick skin types 1-4 and light skin type 5). Sun avoidance is required for a minimum two weeks prior to a laser vein removal session. Some topical skin care products need to be avoided prior to treatment and certain medications are contraindications for treatment. To prevent bruising, avoiding medications, such as Advil is beneficial. Our experienced
technicians will conduct a free consultation to determine whether or not you are a good candidate for these treatments and ensure you’re properly prepared for your session.
